Whatever you are wishing for, Atlantic Outdoors is ready to build your outdoor dream this winter. Whether it is a Deck, Pergola, Gazebo, or Pavilion, we can do it!
Decks are usually made of wood or a composite wood material or vinyl. Similar to patios, decks can be attached to a house or freestanding, but traditionally, they include a few steps or may even be built off of a second floor. Decks often are built to take advantage of a view, and since they can be at different levels (above ground level), they often need safety railings.
Pergolas are large outdoor shade structures. Typically built with a lattice-style roof, it is supported by posts and used to cover and define larger areas, including entire patios or outdoor seating areas. They provide sun protection through the slotted roof, although canopies can be installed to be able to control sunlight.
Gazebos are outdoor shade structures with a solid roof and partially open sides, although it is common for gazebos to be screened-in. A gazebo can have a built-in floor or can be placed on a concrete base, however, the most telling feature of a gazebo is its shape. Most are octagon or oval-shaped, but there are some rectangular designs as well. Gazebos are usually free-standing and often built away from a house.
Pavilions are also roofed structures with completely open sides with a concrete slab floor. The roof is typically supported by 4-6 posts or more, depending on the size. Additionally, most pavilions are designed to be long and rectangular. Pavilions are commonly used to provide a roof for a patio or seating area below and may include lighting or ceiling fans installed under the roof.
Once scheduled and designs approved, most construction takes just a few days to complete.
