Our Grand Escape Timber Frame Pavilions showcase authentic heavy timber craftsmanship paired with our distinctive Napa-style architectural details. DIY Pavilion Kit Information
Our timber frame pavilion kits are designed for efficient on-site assembly. Each kit arrives precut and predrilled, with all major timber components, joinery, and necessary hardware included. Every component is clearly identified to simplify the installation process.
Detailed assembly instructions, architectural drawings, and footer layouts are included with every kit to ensure accurate installation and proper post placement.
Heavy Timber Characteristics
Atlantic Outdoors uses premium rough sawn cedar, hemlock, and Douglas Fir timbers in the construction of our timber frame pavilions. Because timber is a natural material, variations in color, grain patterns, texture, and appearance should be expected.
Large timbers naturally develop checks, splits, shakes, sap bleed, and other organic characteristics as they season and acclimate to their environment. These characteristics are normal in heavy timber construction and do not affect the structural integrity of the pavilion.
Heavy timbers contain a higher moisture content when first installed and may continue to season over time. For best results, we recommend allowing the structure to weather before applying stain or finish.
Site Preparation & Installation
Every timber frame pavilion kit includes detailed architectural drawings and footer layouts to ensure proper footing placement prior to installation. When footings are installed according to the provided drawings, each post will align with its designated location.
We recommend using 24″ sonotubes for timber frame pavilions. Footer depth should be no less than 32″, although requirements vary by location. Please verify local code requirements with your municipality prior to installation.
Shipping and installation timelines may vary based on seasonal demand, product availability, and site accessibility.
Permits & Delivery
Atlantic Outdoors LLC is not responsible for obtaining permits unless specifically requested. Permit assistance is available for an additional fee. Permit requirements vary by municipality, and homeowners should verify local regulations prior to installation.
