DIY Pavilion Kit Information
Our rough cut cedar pavilion kits are designed for straightforward assembly. Each kit arrives precut and predrilled, with all major components and necessary hardware included. Every piece is clearly labeled to simplify the installation process.

Natural Wood Characteristics
Atlantic Outdoors uses rough cut cedar in the construction of our pavilions. Because wood is a natural material, variations in color, grain patterns, texture, and appearance should be expected. Minor imperfections such as knots, small checks, sap pockets, saw marks, and natural character marks are normal and are not considered defects.
Rough cut cedar retains its natural texture and rustic appearance, which may include visible grain variations, surface checking, and minor inconsistencies that contribute to the unique character of the material. Wood naturally expands and contracts as temperature and humidity levels change, and minor cracking, checking, or movement over time is normal and does not affect the structural integrity of the pavilion.
Site Preparation & Installation
After your order is placed, you will receive a detailed sketch and footer layout to ensure proper placement of each post. When footings are installed according to our drawings, every post will align with its designated footer.
We recommend using 16″ sonotubes for standard pavilions. Footer depth should be no less than 32″, although requirements vary by location. Please verify local code requirements with your municipality prior to installation.
Shipping and installation timelines may vary based on seasonal demand and product availability.
Permits & Delivery
Atlantic Outdoors LLC is not responsible for obtaining permits unless specifically requested. Permit assistance is available for an additional fee. Permit requirements vary by municipality, and homeowners should verify local regulations prior to installation.
