This custom 17×23 Cedar Oasis Pergola was professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors in Cresskill, New Jersey in 2022. Designed to seamlessly extend the home’s outdoor living space, this large wall-mounted pergola creates an inviting area for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the outdoors.
Crafted from cedar and finished in a beautiful white paint, the pergola combines the natural strength of wood with a clean, timeless appearance that complements the home’s architecture. The structure features standard runner spacing and oversized 10×10 square posts, creating a substantial presence while maintaining an open and airy feel beneath the canopy.
Several custom upgrades were incorporated into this project to accommodate the homeowner’s space and design goals. Taller posts with concrete footers provide additional height and stability, while decorative 36-inch post bases add visual interest and enhance the overall craftsmanship of the structure. Two additional rafters were installed along the house connection point to provide enhanced support and a more finished appearance.
One of the most unique features of this pergola is the engineered glulam beam spanning the front of the structure. This design allowed the pergola to be supported by only two posts, creating a more open layout and minimizing visual obstructions throughout the outdoor living area.
