Natural cedar and warm earth tones give this 10′ Cedar Octagon Gazebo Kit a traditional look that fits naturally into a Florida backyard. Delivered to Jacksonville, the gazebo was designed as a classic open-air retreat with a standard octagon roof, decorative cupola, Leatherwood shingles, cedar decking, and a stained cedar finish.
The 10-foot octagonal footprint provides a comfortable amount of space for outdoor seating while remaining compact enough to work within a variety of residential landscapes. Its open sides allow breezes to move freely through the structure, creating a shaded destination for relaxing, enjoying morning coffee, or gathering with friends and family.
For this project, cedar was selected as the primary material throughout the gazebo. The wood received a cedar stain, bringing out the natural grain while giving the different components a consistent, warm-toned finish. Paired with the cedar decking underfoot, the stained framework creates a cohesive natural-wood appearance from the floor to the roofline.
The roof maintains the clean proportions of Atlantic Outdoors’ standard octagon gazebo design rather than using a taller double pagoda configuration. At the peak, a cupola adds a traditional finishing detail and gives the gazebo a recognizable architectural focal point.
Leatherwood asphalt shingles were chosen for the roof, adding a rich brown tone that complements the stained cedar below. The combination of Leatherwood roofing and natural cedar gives the gazebo a warmer, more rustic appearance than lighter-colored vinyl or painted structures while still coordinating easily with residential surroundings.
A finished cedar deck floor extends the natural material palette into the interior of the gazebo. In addition to providing a durable walking surface, the wood flooring helps the structure feel like a complete outdoor room rather than simply a roofed shelter placed within the yard.
Shipped to Jacksonville as a prefabricated gazebo kit, the components were prepared for assembly at the customer’s property. This approach allows a handcrafted cedar gazebo to be delivered over a much greater distance while retaining the traditional materials, architectural details, and finished appearance associated with a custom Atlantic Outdoors structure.
The completed design is intentionally classic: a generous 10-foot octagon, stained cedar construction, warm Leatherwood shingles, a traditional cupola, and matching cedar flooring.
