LARGE WHITE VINYL HIP PAVILION
Designed to provide a generous amount of covered outdoor space within a clean, traditional profile, this custom 14′ x 24′ White Vinyl Hip Roof Pavilion was delivered and professionally installed in Jacksboro, Tennessee, in 2026. The elongated pavilion combines a low-maintenance white exterior with six substantial vinyl-wrapped posts, exposed tongue-and-groove roof decking, and a balanced four-sided hip roof.
The 14′ x 24′ footprint creates approximately 336 square feet of covered space, giving the homeowner plenty of flexibility when planning the area beneath the pavilion. The longer rectangular layout works especially well for combining an outdoor dining area with lounge furniture, creating a large entertaining space, or covering an extended patio.
Rather than relying on only four corner supports across the 24-foot length, this pavilion uses a six-post configuration. The additional supports divide the longer sides into more manageable spans while maintaining broad openings between the columns and keeping the interior easy to navigate.
Each structural 6×6 post is finished with an 8×8 white vinyl sleeve, giving the columns a heavier appearance than a standard post treatment. With approximately 7’4″ of header clearance, the pavilion maintains comfortable open space around its perimeter while the larger sleeves visually balance the scale of the 24-foot-long roof.
Standard post bases provide a clean finish at ground level without introducing oversized decorative trim. Post anchor brackets and the required fasteners secure the columns to the customer’s prepared foundation.
The pavilion’s hip roof slopes upward from all four sides, creating a symmetrical appearance that looks finished from every direction. This makes the roof style particularly effective for a freestanding pavilion positioned where multiple sides of the structure are visible from the home, yard, or surrounding outdoor living areas.
A 6/12 roof pitch gives the structure comfortable interior height and adds dimension to the roof without making the pavilion feel overly tall. The proportions help balance the relatively long 24-foot footprint.
Underneath, 2× roof rafters and 1×6 tongue-and-groove roof decking remain part of the visible roof structure. Unlike several of the stained-ceiling vinyl pavilions in the project gallery, this structure was specifically ordered without an interior ceiling stain.
Leaving the roof interior unstained allows the natural appearance of the wood decking to contrast with the bright white vinyl exterior. It also gives this pavilion a simpler, more straightforward finish than projects featuring colored stains or enclosed beadboard ceilings.
Galvanized fasteners and hardware were incorporated throughout the structure for durable exterior connections. The upgraded 8×8 vinyl post sleeves continue the clean white finish from the foundation level up to the roof structure.
