Pergola in Harrisburg, PA

CEDAR COZY RETREAT PERGOLA

This custom 16×28 Cozy Retreat Cedar Pergola was professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, creating a dramatic outdoor living space that combines premium craftsmanship with impressive architectural scale. Designed to define a large patio or backyard entertaining area, this pergola provides the perfect balance of shade, openness, and timeless cedar beauty.

Constructed from premium cedar, the pergola showcases the natural character and durability that make cedar one of the most sought-after materials for outdoor structures. Finished in a sophisticated gray stain, the wood takes on a contemporary appearance while allowing the rich grain and natural texture of the cedar to remain visible, creating a striking blend of modern style and traditional craftsmanship.

Built as one of Atlantic Outdoors’ Cozy Retreat pergolas, this project incorporates several structural upgrades that enhance both its performance and visual impact. Upgraded glulam beams provide exceptional strength while creating bold architectural lines that complement the pergola’s expansive design. Massive 8×8 square support posts, extended to an impressive 12-foot height, give the structure a commanding presence while creating an open, airy atmosphere beneath the roof.

To provide additional shade without sacrificing the open feel that pergolas are known for, the roof system was customized with runner spacing at 5 inches on center, creating noticeably greater sun protection while still allowing natural light and airflow to pass through. This thoughtful modification enhances everyday comfort while maintaining the clean, balanced appearance of the Cozy Retreat design.

With its generous 16×28 footprint, this pergola creates an exceptional outdoor living space suitable for dining areas, outdoor kitchens, lounge seating, or large gatherings. Its combination of premium materials, structural upgrades, and custom design makes it an outstanding centerpiece for the property.

Professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors, this project demonstrates how a custom cedar pergola can combine innovative engineering, premium materials, and timeless craftsmanship to create a truly one-of-a-kind outdoor retreat. Built for lasting durability and everyday enjoyment, this pergola delivers both exceptional functionality and architectural elegance.
