ROUGH SAWN CEDAR PAVILION
This custom 10×14 Rough Sawn Cedar Pavilion was professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors in Huntingtown, Maryland, in 2022. Featuring our popular Holiday Shadow – Santa Fe design, this pavilion was built to create a beautiful covered outdoor living space while complementing the home’s existing architecture. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for outdoor dining, relaxing, or enjoying the backyard in comfort throughout the year.
Constructed from premium rough sawn cedar, the pavilion is finished with a rich cedar stain that highlights the wood’s natural texture and rustic character. Heavy-duty 6×6 cedar posts, 3×8 headers, 3×6 rafters, and a finished 1×6 tongue-and-groove ceiling create a warm, inviting atmosphere while providing the strength and durability expected from an Amish-built pavilion.
The pavilion is topped with an elegant Bronze standing seam metal roof, offering exceptional longevity, low maintenance, and outstanding protection from the elements. The clean lines of the standing seam roof pair beautifully with the stained cedar, creating a timeless outdoor structure that enhances the home’s curb appeal.
As part of this installation, the pavilion was positioned adjacent to the home using a custom flashing system. Rather than fastening the structure directly to the house, Atlantic Outdoors installed metal trim tucked beneath the existing siding and overlapped the standing seam roof to create a clean, weather-resistant transition while allowing the pavilion to remain a completely freestanding structure.
To increase functionality, the pavilion was pre-wired with an electrical package that includes two outlets, with one outlet conveniently located on a rear support post. The wiring was installed during construction, allowing the homeowner’s electrician to complete the final electrical connection after installation.
