Timber Frame in Mahwah, NJ
DOUGLAS FIR TIMBER FRAME PAVILION
This custom 14×14 Kingston Timber Frame Pavilion was professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors in Mahwah, New Jersey, creating a stunning outdoor structure that showcases the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of traditional timber frame construction. Designed to serve as the centerpiece of the homeowner’s outdoor living space, this pavilion offers exceptional strength, architectural character, and the flexibility for a truly custom finish.
Crafted from premium Douglas fir, the pavilion features an unstained natural finish that highlights the rich grain patterns and warm color variations of the exposed timbers. The clean, unfinished appearance allows the natural beauty of the wood to take center stage while giving the homeowner the option to apply a custom finish in the future if desired.
The Kingston timber frame design showcases traditional heavy timber joinery with exposed beams, braces, and structural members that create a dramatic open interior. Every connection reflects the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail that define Atlantic Outdoors’ timber frame structures, resulting in a pavilion that is as beautiful as it is durable.
To give the homeowner complete design flexibility, the pavilion was installed without roofing, allowing them to complete the project with their own choice of shingles and roofing materials. This approach provided a solid, professionally engineered timber frame while allowing the final roofing system to be customized to match the home’s existing architecture.
Professionally installed by Atlantic Outdoors, this project demonstrates how a custom timber frame pavilion can combine traditional craftsmanship with personalized design. Built from premium Douglas fir and engineered for lasting performance, this Kingston pavilion provides a beautiful foundation for an outdoor living space that will be enjoyed for generations.
